Instructions
  1. The trick is to par-cook the mielies - you can steam them in the micowave, or boil them in a pot, for 3-4 minutes, until just soft.
  2. Rub with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and some spice - we like chilli flakes, but it's up to you!
  3. When you put your meat on the grid, add your mielies too. Keep them off the main heat, and turn them frequently. They'll develop a nice char on the outside. If they start to get too charred, take them off the braai, and you can always add them at the end to warm up again.
